I'm Filipe Reynaud. I live in Portugal, where I get to engineer some pretty awesome stuff!

My name is Filipe Reynaud, I'm 26 years old, and that's me on the photo, alongside my buddy Sheikh, the most cute Rottweiler of all.

From a very young age, my main interests have always been movies and sports. Throughout my school years, I was a soccer player and later chose to learn kickboxing. My passion for sports showed me from an early age the importance of team-work in successfully accomplishing a goal.

In my high school years, I grew passionate about the world of computers and programming. The first 2 projects that I ever worked on were a calculator made in Pascal and a Pokémon game in Visual Basic. Bringing my passion and the job market together, I chose to enroll in the computer science bachelor’s degree at Instituto Superior Técnico, Alameda (Lisbon).

Since my first year as a college student, I worked for Técnico’s IT Department. Balancing school and work was definitely a challenge, but I used this opportunity to learn several important skills for my professional life. After successfully earning my bachelor's degree, I completed my master’s thesis in the fields of Robotics and Machine Learning entitled “Domain Learning Through Dialog” at INESC-ID (Lisbon).

Right now, I'm rocking the role of a Software Engineer at Riskified, but before that, I've had the fantastic opportunity to work for big-name companies like FARFETCH. It's been an exciting journey!
